A five-minute walk from the resort, there is the Thai family restaurant “ Rosniyom Chomchop” Here you can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine served at the outside terrace or inside in the air-conditioned room of the restaurant along with a live music band.

 

Also, in all shopping malls there are many restaurants including European and Japanese cuisine, fast-food or imported wine collection.

With just a ten-minute walk from the resort, or don’t worry we can bring you to visit the new Promenada Shopping Mall to enjoy a big city shopping experience, locally.

Promenada has all the usual luxury brands as well as a selection of value for money shops and when you are thirsty or hungry there are a host of coffee shops and restaurants.

 

From the Promenada Mall you can take the free shuttle and in just 5 minutes you arrive at Chiangmai Central Festival Shopping Mall, another brand new complex bursting with a further selection of shops, restaurants etc. And not to forget to visit the entertainment centre where you will find a multi screen cinema complex or you can have fun on ice-skating rink.

 

If you still have the time and energy there is another free shuttle bus from Central Festival Mall that in just 5 to 10 minutes will take you to the heart of the Chiangmai city and the Maya Shopping Complex.

OSR 1 - Doi Suthep Temple and Royal Winter Palace

A half-day trip begins with a pleasant winding drive up 3,500 feet above sea level. You then huff and puff as you ascend up the steps to the temple, guarded by two splendid nagas (naks). Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, built in 1383, is the symbol of Chiangmai. It is the most sacred temple in the city and contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha, which is enshrined in the magnificent golden pagoda. A panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside can be seen from the temple ground.

OSR 2 - Home Industrial & Arts & Handicraft Villages Tour

See exquisite native handicrafts actually being crafted by master craftsmen and their assistants. Elaborate teak-wood carvings, intricate silverware, lustrous black lacquer ware, high-fired ceramics, famous Thai silk and cotton being woven the ancient traditional way on rustic wooden looms, paper-making being done in the ancient traditional way, hand-made paper and silk parasols in a rainbow hue of dazzling colors. Watch skilled artists deftly and swiftly paint art-work on parasols. It’s absolutely amazing!!

OSR 3 - Elephant Safari, bamboo rafting, ox cart riding, Long neck-tribe village, Orchid & butterfly Nursery Farm, etc.

A full-day pleasant 45 kms. excursion out into the mountain & countryside. In lush tropical jungle north of the city, watch elephants take their daily shower in a stream, see how these talented and trained animals are used in the timber industry is held, play football, elephant painting etc. take the elephant ride up to the mountain and picked up by ox cart riding down to the bamboo rafting for lunch at the Tiger-kingdom, where you can play and pad the tigers. After lunch you can visit an Orchid Nursery Farm filled with more than 50 different varieties of gorgeous orchid blooms in a dazzling array of colures. A superb collection of butterflies is also available for your perusal, take ATV or flight of the gibbon as adventure of your life experience. These activities are in the same direction / area, however, it might be too many to fit in one day so you can make your choice or return again on the other day.

OSR 4 - City tours and Mae-Ping River cruise to visit Ancient underground city / Fruit, vegetables & herbs plantation

You can enjoy visiting old temples and the city, take the boat trip along Mae-Ping river, the main river of Chiang Mai. Visit plantation of fruits, vegetables and Thai herbs. Fruits and drinks are served during the cruise.

OSR 5 - Doi Inthanon National Park, Waterfall & Hill tribe village

08:00-17:00 pm

Lying south of Chiangmai, the granite mass of Doi Inthanon, at 8,500 feet above sea level, is the highest mountain in the country. Designated as a national park, the moist natural environment is habitat to a large species of birds, animals, flowers and fauna. After a final steep climb, the summit is surprisingly flat though misty, cold and windy. Visit the pagodas built in honor of their Majesties the King and Queen. A visitors’ center contains information in Thai and English. A small chedi above the visitors’ center contains the remains of Chao

 

Inthawichayanon who died in 1897, the last independent ruler of Chiangmai, before the Kingdom of Lanna was incorporated into Siam. Enjoy the cool cascading waters of Mae Klang and Vachiratharn waterfalls. Visit a Meo hilltribe village which is a Royal sponsored project, and a poor Karen hill tribe village. ( The drive up to the top of the mountain is exhilarating. Sweaters or warm jackets should be takenalong as it can be extremely cold at the top in the winter.)

OSR 5 - Chiang Rai & Golden Triangle, Mynmar & Laos (One-day trip)

 

A trip by road along a scenic route, driving through undulating hills and valleys, emerald green woods, quaint small towns and picturesque villages. A break is made at a hot spring in Mae Kachan district. Proceed on to the town of Chiang Rai. Visit and explore the Yao and Akha hill tribe villages and see their quaint, unique costumes. Each tribe has its own culture, customs, traditions and dialect, visit Silver & White Temple. Drive further on to Mae Sai, a bustling border town with Myanmar and the northern most point of Thailand. Shop around for some Myanmar goodies. Then stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Proceed to the world-renowned Golden Triangle where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet at the confluence of the mighty Mekhong river. A superb view of the river and surrounding three countries can be seen. Visit the ancient town of Chiangsaen, the very first kingdom in Thailand situated on the banks of the Mekhong river and explore its archeological remains. Drive back to Chiangmai late evening. Please discuss with our driver regarding places you wish to visit as it might be too many places to see in one day.

OSR 6 - Khantoke dinner with traditional Thai dance

(19:00-21:30 pm)

Relaxing in an informal atmosphere while dining on delicious northern Thai cuisine called “KhanToke”. Tuck in and eat to your heart’s content. During the meal, a traditional northern musical ensemble will play soothing music while charming dancers will entertain you with the fingernail dance, candle dance, sword dance and ramwong dance. If you get the urge, join in the ramwong dance...it’s great. After that, there will be a fireworks display. Then, a selection of hilltribe dances performed by the Akha, Yao, Lisu and Karen tribes rounds up this entertaining evening, the end of the your evening you can let go the fire-balloon for your luck & happiness. (Loose, informal attire is recommended as you will be sitting down on the floor).
